Our History

PH Jones is a family company with well established roots dating back to 1963, when Phil Jones, originally set up business as a sole trader, installing central heating systems for homeowners. In 1971, Phil and his wife, Brenda, established a limited company, 'Central Heating Maintenance Limited', to manage the maintenance of the heating systems installed by both PH Jones and other installers. In 1994 'Central Heating Maintenance Limited' was awarded its first social housing contract, and in 1999, Phil and Brenda amalgamated the two companies to form 'PH Jones Limited'.

In addition to the expansion in the social housing market throughout the the mid 1990s, 'PH Jones Limited' also branched into property services, to provide central heating and plumbing services for both new property developments and refurbishment projects. In 2004 'PH Jones Limited' diversified into the utilities market, founding a specialist Utilities Division to undertake gas and electric meter maintenance and replacement services for blue chip companies.

Following sustained growth over the last two decades, in January 2008 'PH Jones Limited'  established 'PH Jones Group Limited', which became the ultimate holding company of 'PH Jones Limited'. In March 2008, PH Jones Group acquired 'Coolfactor Group Limited' (Facilities Management), a specialist heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and M&E engineering company. 'PH Jones Limited', and 'Coolfactor Group Limited' became wholly owned subsidiaries of PH Jones Group Limited.

In 2009, PH Jones restructured the companies within the Group to ensure a more efficient and streamlined service provision across all sectors.  All subsidiaries are now working under a single, strong, reputable brand, PH Jones.

Services currently offered by PH Jones can be broadly divided into three business streams, Homeservices,  Utility Services, and Facilities Management. PH Jones has over 1000 directly employed staff across all divisions, 29 regional offices and 13 Directors.
