PH Jones and Spirita Limited celebrate Heating Maintenance Partnership
As part of its programme of service improvements, Spirita Limited, part of the Metropolitan Housing Partnership has awarded PH Jones Limited its heating maintenance contract.
PH Jones will provide a fully comprehensive gas maintenance, servicing and repairs service, including gas safety checks and smoke detector testing for approximately half (4000) of its residential properties in the East Midlands.
The Partnership is for five years with a possible five year extension.
The contract also includes servicing and safety checks for solid fuel heating systems, oil fired heating systems and geothermal heating systems as well as the maintenance of commercial boilers in communal areas and the installation of boilers and associated heating appliances.
Russell Clarke, Head of Planned Maintenance for Spirita, who was active in the tender assessment, commented: “The contract was awarded following an evaluation of the perceived flexible approach to meeting residents’ needs based on Value for Money principles and partnering ethos. PH Jones also demonstrated a commitment to achieving our objectives, including compliance with statutory obligations in respect of gas servicing; providing a resident-focussed service; and achieving greater resident satisfaction.”
Derek Corbishley, Director of the Social Housing Division, also commented: “We are excited to be working with Spirita Limited, one of the most progressive and well respected housing providers in the Midlands. We will adopt a collaborative relationship focused on delivering service excellence.”
Developing the Partnership
The contract is an ACA Standard Form of Term Partnering Contract TPC2005 (Partnering Contract) and includes a Core Group, Partnering Team and resident consultative forums.
