The Servicing and Maintenance Initiative of the Year Award was based on the development of Pilot, project management software which is exclusively developed in-house..png)
Maintenance Director, Derek Corbishley stated that, “Pilot has been constantly developed over the last 7 years to ensure we deliver the very latest technology to clients and has become particularly sophisticated in the last 12 months with the provision of electronic CP12s, onsite printing, direct ordering from the supply chain and some of our clients have direct access into our system.”
“Pilot has the added benefit of being developed and driven in-house which has enabled to us to respond immediately to clients’ needs and meet changing priorities whilst ensuring the software genuinely offers meaningful value. Many of our competitors offer an ‘off the shelf’ package which has limitations.”
Derek concluded “The feedback from clients and prospective clients is that Pilot delivers significant differentiation over competitors. The award is testament to the hard work and dedication of the software development team and the maintenance team who had also had valuable input.”
Pilot was noted by the judging panel for its interface capability which includes text alerts and electronic customer satisfaction capture.
Safety Initiative and Training Initiative of the Year
PH Jones was also named ‘Runner-up’ in the Safety Initiative and Training Initiative of the Year for the implementation of a sophisticated e-learning system. The e-learning system was recognised as an innovative approach offering CPD standard of training as well as being an efficient way to organise, manage, track and audit all user training.
Heating Contractor of the Year
The company was also named ‘Runner-up’ in the Heating Contractor of the Year category being noted by the judging panel as a “go-ahead, well-run and reliable company”.
