Telecommunications
In 2007 we established a telecommunications division. The division provide a range of telecommunications services including site surveys, site risk assessments, site engineering, equipment installation, commissioning and site acceptance testing.
Site Surveys
We carry out detailed site surveys at clients’ sites to ascertain the suitability and installation materials requirements for product installation.
Site Risk Assessments
We provide site risk assessments normally in conjunction with the site survey to identify and to mitigate the risk of site hazards that may exist at a client’s premises. We provide a detailed Risk Assessment Report that identifies corrective action that either eliminates the risk altogether or reduces it to a level where it is safe to work. Often this is achieved with the provision of Personal Protective Equipment or with the implementation of appropriate control measures.
Site Engineering
Following the site survey we provide a range of site engineering services which include:
- Identification and supply of all installation related materials
- Site floor plans
- Rack and shelf layouts
- Cable running out lists including all AC & DC power requirements
- Production of as built documentation following the implementation activities
Equipment Installation
Qualified engineers carry out installation activities of all equipment including any cable management and supporting structures that have been identified during the site engineering activities. In general the mechanical build will be completed before cabling of power, data, fibre and any other cabling requirements are installed. Once this work is completed the electronic modules will be installed under strict anti-static procedures.
Commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing
Field based engineers are provided to carry out a range of commissioning and acceptance tests to ensure that the equipment is functioning correctly. These tests will normally be derived from the equipment manufactures handbooks and procedures; however these are often supplemented with customer specific testing. Once this is completed handover documentation is provided which includes, as built drawings, installation and commissioning audits, digital photographs and any other agreed documentation requirements.
