Commercial EPCs

Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) were introduced by the Government to help improve the energy efficiency of buildings. Commercial energy performance certificates are required to be provided by law, by an accredited EPC contractor when building, selling, or renting a property or building.

Commercial Energy Performance Certificates advise potential buyers or tenants about the energy performance of a non-dwelling building they may wish to buy or occupy. A commercial EPC provides energy performance information about the building including an energy rating and recommendation report, which provides recommendations on how the energy performance of the building could be improved together with an indication of the payback period.  A commercial EPC can only be carried out by an accredited Commercial (non-Domestic) Energy Assessor (CEA) with an appropriate level of qualification and accreditation.
