PH Jones Metering Services is a family-owned company with turnover of £15 million. The business was developed from PH Jones Limited's former Utility Services Division which was established in 2005, becoming PH Jones Metering Services Limited in early 2011.
In May 2011 associated companies PH Jones Group Limited, PH Jones Limited and PH Jones Facilities Management Limited were acquired by British Gas in a £30mn deal. PH Jones Metering Services Limited remains a stand alone, independent company and was not part of the British Gas acquisition.
PH Jones Metering Services Limited provides the installation, maintenance and repair of electric, gas and water meters (including smart meters) on behalf of utility providers. Major clients include British Gas Smart Metering, National Grid and Scotia Gas.
PH Jones Metering Services continues to operate out of its main Wrexham office and has retained all of its 250 engineers and 50 support staff. The owners of the company, Martin Jones and Chris Jones, will oversee the strategic development of the business and David Burke, Utilities Director, will continue in his management role.
