New vans keep energy conscious heating company, PH Jones in front!

Specialist central heating, property maintenance and utilities contractor PH Jones Limited has added 40 Peugeot Bipper vans to its fleet.

PH Jones, which provides heating maintenance and property maintenance services to more than 250,000 properties nationwide, opted for the S HDi 70 with Plus Pack, as it has a combined fuel consumption of 62mpg and carbon dioxide emissions of 119g/km.

Don Hankey, PH Jones’ Technical Director, says:

“We were impressed with the Bipper’s fuel consumption and how compact it is – ideal for driving in cities. Yet despite the size, it also holds a decent load capacity.
As PH Jones has a fleet of nearly 800 vehicles – both cars and commercial vehicles, we always strive to minimise vehicle pollution and improve fuel consumption.”

PH Jones is committed to minimising its environmental impact and has thoroughly researched the market before deciding on the Bipper vans.  Other energy efficient initiatives include the installation of energy efficient boilers and the provision of alternative forms of central heating, such as ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps and the use of solar energy.
